Dr. Gopal Dahit is a distinguished Nepali social worker, politician, and academic personality with masters in management securing 1st division, bachelor in law and Ph.D. in Buddhism. Over the decades, he has emerged as a steadfast champion for the rights and dignity of indigenous peoples, marginalized and underrepresented communities in Nepal. Grounded in a deep understanding of social structures and injustices, Dr. Dahit has worked tirelessly to promote equity, human rights, and inclusive development across the country.

Raised with a strong sense of community and justice, Dr. Dahit began his journey by engaging in grassroots activism. His early work involved organizing community development programs, advocating for land rights, indigenous rights, promoting education in rural areas, and challenging systemic discrimination. He believes that sustainable change can only be achieved by empowering people at the local level and by giving them the tools to shape their own futures.

Dr. Dahit's political career reflects his strong commitment to have good governance and inclusive policymaking. As a political leader, he has consistently used his platform to amplify the voices of the voiceless, pushing for reforms in education, health, and social welfare. His work in the public sector has influenced policies aimed at reducing poverty and increasing access to essential services for disadvantaged groups.

In addition to his political and social activism, Dr. Dahit is also a respected academic personality. His research in Buddhism, social inclusion and exclusion, IP issues has contributed to a deeper understanding of caste based descrimination, ethnic identity, and rural development in Nepal. He has authored about 20 research based books and different articles in journals and daily papers. He has been invited to put his thoughts and views at national and international conference and seminars.

Outside his professional life, Dr. Dahit enjoys the peace and joy of family life with famliy members together with his wife and two son. His favroute board game is chess. Being very invested in book writing, his leasure time mostly consist of authoring books, articles and new phenomonon. He continues to mentor youngesters, enterprenurs, social workers, community leaders (Barghar) and collaborate with NGOs, and remain actively engaged in projects that reflect his enduring values. His resilience, empathy, and vision continue to inspire the new generation of change-makers in Nepal and beyond.
